TASSEL PENDANT - PROJECT SHEET

Use your hammer to create these delicate strands of sumptuous silver. Using one hammer to texture all the elements keeps the whole piece looking cohesive. It will test your fine soldering and texturing skills, combining techniques to make an elegant and beautiful pendant. 
 
To complete this project you will need:
 
MATERIALS
Round wire in 1mm - 2mm diameter. To make the sample pendant you will need about 300mm. If you change the design you’ll need to adjust the amount of wire required.

TOOL KIT ESSENTIALS
•    Piercing saw, bench peg and 2/0 blades
•    Round nose and flat nose pliers
•    Texturing hammer - the sample uses a ball pein 
•    Flat faced or planishing hammer
•    Flat faced file - needle or 6”
•    Soldering kit
•    Dividers
•    Ruler
•    Emery papers in two or three grades, perhaps 800, 1200 & 2000
•    Ring mandrel
•    Finishing media of choice
