Silver metal clay is a wonderful material that can be shaped and textured just like ceramic clay. Made from silver particles mixed with organic binders and water which, when fired, burn away to leave beautiful fine silver. Learn to combine silver clay with beautiful, glittering, synthetic gemstones and create subtle, textured and sparkling charms or earrings.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
Who is this class suitable for?
Beginners or more experienced makers who would like an introduction to using silver
metal clay.What will I make?
You will make a set of charms for a necklace. You will be able to choose your own design
– either pebble-shaped, or using different shaped cutters. You will decorate the charms
with sparkling cubic zirconias.What will I learn?
You will learn about the characteristics of silver metal clay and the basic techniques
which will enable you to create simple designs. These include rolling, texturing and
marking, and finishing and firing. You will learn how to add gemstones to your piece and add a little sparkle.What is included?
All tools and equipment are provided. All tools and equipment are included. A block of polymer clay and 10g of silver metalclay are provided, along with a necklace chain and jump rings to attach the charms. Extra silver metal clay will be available to buy on the day.
