PAPER CLIP CHAIN - PROJECT SHEET
Download this PDF guide to make this pendant at home. The project comes as a PDF document for you to print out and includes full instructions with photos.
Create a beautiful handmade chain to wear alone or hang a handmade pendant from. You can change the size or shape the links, the type of wire you use or the length of the chain to create an infinite number of different designs. Keep to the same basic construction method every time and you’ll be able to create any chain you like.
TIPS• If you want each link to be identical, be careful and precise at every stage of the process. Repetition is the key.
• Work gently - silver wire can mark easily so be controlled with your tools.
• If you are making a chain for a pendant, keep the style of the chain in keeping with the style of your pendant and consider how you’ll attach the pendant to the chain.
To complete this project you will need:
MATERIALS
• 1mm round silver wire. In this project we use 5cm per link so you’ll need about 95cm for a 50cm (18”) chain or 45cm for a 9 inch bracelet. If you adjust the length of the chain or the size of the link you will need more or less wire
