Explore Enamelling - 25th January
An introduction to the art of dry sifted, kiln fired enamel on copper.
Learn to dry sift glass powders onto copper sheet and fire to create smooth layers of intense colour. This class is perfect if you are new to enameling and want to explore the technique or you have some experience and want to explore it further. You'll make a selection of samples and perhaps a pair of earrings, brooch or pendant - your choice.

Who is this class suitable for?
Beginners to intermediate makers
What will I make?
In the morning you will create a range of bespoke samples and experimental pieces in enamel on copper. Exploring the technique and playing with colour. In the afternoon you can choose to create an enamelled brooch, pendant or pair of earrings or to continue experimenting and creating samples.
What will I learn?
You will learn to shape and clean copper sheet. You'll learn to apply layers of glass powder using a dry sifting technique and to kiln fire the pieces to fuse the materials together.

All tools, equipment and materials for the class are provided. More materials will be available to buy at the class if desired.
