DRILLED SADDLE RING - PROJECT SHEET

DRILLED SADDLE RING - PROJECT SHEET

£5.00Price

Download this PDF guide to make this pendant at home. The project comes as a PDF document for you to print out and includes full instructions with photos including a neat trick to make perfectly deburred drill holes and a sizing chart so you cna make the ring a perfect fit.

A saddle ring allows you to create a ring that is wide and dramatic but also comfortable and wearable. Cut from a single sheet of metal it has only one join and the pattern template can be adjusted to create the designs in any ring size. This ring is decorated simply with drilled holes but you can add any extra embellishments or decoration to the central focus of the piece - or even to the rest of the band.
TIPS
•    Remember that making a ring the right size is the tricky bit so double check your calculations before you cut the shape out.
•    It’s easier to make a small ring a fraction bigger than to make a big ring a fraction smaller so err on the smaller side if you are unsure
•    A simple design calls for good execution so take care at every stage to get a good finish.
